Online Reputation Marketing Tips to Remember

Would you lend your car to someone who has a history of accumulating traffic tickets and being involved in road accidents? You probably won’t, right?

That highlights the importance of achieving and maintaining a sterling reputation. This is especially true in today’s digital world, where people can easily share their experiences with potential customers. With that in mind, here are a few reputation marketing tips to help preserve the business image and customer trust you’ve worked so hard to build:

Ask for Reviews

Don’t be afraid to ask for reviews from your customers. Most customers are willing to give you a glowing review if you ask them to do so. When you do this, let customers know where you prefer they post their reviews (Yelp, Google Places, etc.).

Advertise Your Reviews

Of course, positive reviews won’t be able to help you much if potential customers don’t read them. Make it easier for people to find your reviews by advertising where your reviews can be found. A small sign in your shop that says “Check out our reviews on ____” is more than enough. A link on your website also works wonders.

Respond ASAP

Whenever you receive a review, respond ASAP. This shows people how much you appreciate their reviews. The same rule applies to negative reviews. Try to get to the bottom of the problem right away. This will show potential customers that customer satisfaction is a true priority for your business.
